June 2007 - August 2007: Graduate research intern at Intel Application Research Lab in Santa Clara, California. I worked on servers for virtual worlds such as Second Life. On the weekends I traveled around to see the beautiful landscape of California. I also learned surfing (kind of). |

May 2003 - July 2003: Tutor at the University of Mannheim. I supervised the training for the Digital Circuits lecture. |

July 2002 - October 2002: Research trainee at the Central Research Laboratories of NEC in Japan near Tokyo.
I optimized the Linpack Benchmark Program for Intel processors. In my free time, I could enjoy the exciting nightlife of Tokyo and the Japanese culture. This internship was definitely one of the greatest times of my life.

April 2002 - July 2002: Officially employed as a research student at the University of Mannheim. I've worked there before, but now it was my main occupation beside my studies. |

May 2000 - March 2002: Project assistant at SAP, the world's leading e-business software solution provider. I worked in a small team that did the final assembly of the whole (!) SAP documentation. You can visit the SAP Help Portal and admire some of the fruits of my labor online. |
